We email you a link to confirm your email address before you can sign in.
ETT Connect does not collect your device's location and does not use motion sensors. Where a report asks where something happened, you type it yourself.
- ETT Connect has no advertising and no analytics tools. We do not track you across other apps or websites.
- The app does not use your microphone.
- If you turn on Face ID or fingerprint unlock, your phone does the check. We never receive or store your face or fingerprint data.
- We do not sell your information.
A photo can carry hidden details saved by your phone's camera, such as the date, the phone model and where the photo was taken.
- On an anonymous report, we remove these hidden details before the photo is saved. If they cannot be removed, the photo is refused.
- On a named report, the photo is kept as you sent it, including any hidden details. If you do not want to share them, report anonymously or check your camera settings before you take the photo.
If you turn on "Report anonymously":
- ETT staff see the report, but not your name or account details.
- ETT staff do see what you wrote and your photos. If these point to you, someone may be able to work out who you are. Leave out anything that identifies you if you want to stay anonymous.
- A secure record of which account sent the report is kept by the platform, so that the report shows in your "My reports" list and to prevent misuse. This record is not shown to ETT staff.
- ETT cannot reply to an anonymous report.
- To give you an ETT Connect account and run the app (to provide the service you signed up for).
- To pass your incident reports to ETT, so that ETT can review them and improve safety in the industry (legitimate interests). Some reports may include details of an injury or health. These are used only to deal with the report and to improve safety.
- To show you notices, updates, resources, forms and polls from ETT, and to send you push notifications (legitimate interests).
- To send you news emails, only if you ticked the box (consent). You can change this at any time.
- To keep the app secure, prevent misuse and fix faults (legitimate interests).
- To meet our legal obligations.
- ETT staff who run ETT Connect: your name, email address, employer, member type, email choices and the date you joined; your named incident reports and their photos; your form and poll answers; and anonymous reports, without your identity.
- 360 Synk Software Ltd, to run, support and secure the app.
- Our service providers, listed in section 8.
- Anyone else only where the law requires it, for example a court order.
We do not pass your information to your employer or to any other organisation, except as this policy describes.
- Microsoft Azure stores and runs ETT Connect's systems: the database, files, email sending and security logs. Our main hosting is in Microsoft's North Europe region (Ireland, EU). Some security logs are held in Microsoft's UK South region (London).
- Google Firebase delivers push notifications and collects crash reports. On iPhone, notifications are delivered through Apple's push service. Google may process this data in the United States.
For any transfer outside the UK and EU, we rely on the UK's approved safeguards: the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.
Your information is encrypted while it travels over the internet and when it is stored.
- Your account: until you delete it.
- Incident reports and their photos: kept as safety records, including after you delete your account, but no longer linked to your name.
- Form and poll answers and acknowledgements: kept with ETT's records for as long as ETT Connect needs them.

You can delete your account at any time in the app: Settings → Delete account. This signs you out, removes your account and replaces your name and personal details with anonymous values. Incident reports you sent are kept for safety records, but are no longer linked to your name.
If you cannot open the app, see app.360synk.com/account-deletion.
